What does it mean to be a Troop 9 Scout? Is it to be a responsible leader? A good citizen? Perhaps someone of many skills, or one who displays Scouting's values of loyalty, friendliness, courage, and the many others?

Here at Troop 9, we believe Scouts can shoot for that, and have as much fun as possible while doing it. From Canoeing trips down the Little Miami River to fun nights playing all sorts of games and learning valuable skills, from climbing rock faces hundreds of feet in the air in Red River Gorge to laughing and joking around a warm campfire, we offer Scouts all sorts of fun and opportunities. And one of the greatest things about scouting is the ability for the Scouts to decide where they want to go or what they want to do next, and to help them make it happen!

Our Mission

I still remember the entire Boy Scout motto. I don't remember the serial number of my gun in the army. I don't remember the number of my locker in school.

But I do remember that Boy Scout code.

-Tommy Lasorda, Former MLB Manager

Our Mission

We aim to give our Scouts and Leaders alike valuable experiences that they remember for years to come. We hope to teach them valuable skills, give them cherished experiences, and to better them in mind, body, and soul.

Our Vision

We seek to help our Scouts explore possibilities that they might not have gotten the chance to otherwise, and to help them become the leaders of the future.
